The Christmas and New Year's weekends were a movie bonanza for me too. We saw Avatar 3D (outstanding and the most entertaining movie I've seen since Lord Of The Rings, perhaps), Nine (skip it) and It's Complicated (a well-directed and well-acted movie for our generation that made us laugh out loud on many occasions). Then, while Debbie was out of town helping her sister get settled in a new apartment in DC, I rented Four Christmases (not funny), The Hangover (not nearly as funny as I'd heard) and District 9 (a very good and thought-provoking film). Next up---Sherlock Holmes for all the reasons you stated. Dean here over and out.
