You probably remember “Cars”, Gary’s big hit from the seventies. It was a pretty cool song, unlike anything else at the time. That was then and this is now. Well, he’s been making music ever since then, of varying types and with little to no success or fame. But talent and quality once again win out in the end and his career is in a resurgence. And deservedly so. His last couple alums are super-strong and he sounds fresh even after all these years. Seriously, buy the latest album Savage (Songs From A Broken World). And the one before it Splinter (Songs From A Broken Mind) is just as good if not even better. Wonderful, moody, atmospheric, gripping,  and powerful stuff…

Here’s the video for “My Name Is Ruin” off the latest album, a post-apoctalytic vision of the “broken world”. That’s his daughter in the video and backup vocals.
